Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi
As a prominent Saudi businessman and entrepreneur, Sheikh Mohammed
Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi realized that true profit comes from the reward of God in
the afterlife.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi is a self-made man who started off with real
estate and contracting. He then expanded his business activities into the oil
industry when he bought refineries in Morocco and Sweden, where he is now
one of the most prominent foreign inventors.
In Sweden, King Carl XVI Gustaf honored him with the Royal Swedish Order of
the Northern Star (Kungliga Nordsjarneorden) medal.
In 2010, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz honored him with the King Saudi University
Scarf of the Top Order and the university’s medal.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi is one of the top contributors to Saudi
universities. His generous initiative is a vital step towards a brighter future for
Saudi universities, which are major players in achieving the Kingdom’s strategic
national objectives.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi funds five scientific chairs at King Abdulaziz
University in Jeddah: the Chair of Biomedical Practice Ethics; the Chair for
Diabetic Foot Researches; the Chair for Viral Hemorrhagic Fever; the Chair for
Water Networks Researches; and the Chair for Breast Cancer researches.He culminated his selfless contributions with his support for creating the Middle
East’s first Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer at King Abdulaziz University in
Jeddah.
He established or invested in numerous corporations in the fields of
engineering, petroleum, architecture, industry and agriculture, to name but a
few.
In addition to Saudi Arabia, his investments extended to many countries in the
Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi’s interests in the oil industry encompass
everything from drilling to petrochemical industries. He has investments in oil
refineries in Sweden and Morocco, as well as distribution networks of gas
stations in Saudi Arabia, Sweden and Lebanon.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amoudi is Chairman of many companies, such as Corral
Group, ABV Rock Group and MIDROC Group. He is also a member of the boards
of Yanbu Steel Company, Steel Services Company, AB Saudi Arabia, Naft, Badad,
and many others.
