tru_africandiamond: GREAT NEWS! THIS IS WHAT MTO SHOULD BE DOING MORE OF. Lets put this into perspective we are only talking about 7 people out of 1000 people. We still have a long way to go!! 1/ Wealthy people who give money do not need to shout about or name a charity organisation after themselves to massage their own egos. Most celebrities by their nature want to be noticed and love the fame, so set up charities in their own name, which costs more money than giving that money to an already existing charity. Although more could be done by the billionaires right down to those NBA ballers to help all 'black people' over he world. 2/ Ethopians are black people! If you studied African American and Ethoians DNA you would probably find them to be more 'black' than most African Americans! One drop rule suited whites in slave countries during slavery, but since the end of savery they have been practicing DIVIDE AND RULE! WAKE UP PEOPLE PLEASE! 3/ Just because a nigerian is rich it does not mean they are a fraudster 419, stupid asses! 4/ There are may more black billionaires who's wealth cannot be confirmed,in some cases due to fraud. Clara africans do not steal jobs from Afcan Americans if more African Americans were qualified they would get the jobs, honey. The media will always premote blacks entertaining by focusing on black 'singers, dancer, footballers, basketball players, rappers' because this is 'small time money' to white people and we can never pull ourselves out from poverty and ignorance with small time money. For the most part our 'entertainer role models' have nothing to say or perpetrate ignorance. We need better role models, so we can strive to be educated billionaires and millionaires.

Chaz414: @dcboi, if u dont know, Nas father's name is Oludara, that is a Nigerian name 4rm the yoruba tribe. Nas is a born Nigerian but he's Nationality is American because he was born there. He has even been 2 Nigeria twice. And to the rest of u stil talking bad about Africa. Im not responding 2 u because u are just to ignorant 2 argue with me. No wonder d white man keeps u in projects and ghettos, u are bad 4 his economy. African americans dont want to work, they dont go 2 school all they do is f**k, eat, kill and sell drugs. There are more educated Africans than African americans. Thats why the white man keeps controlling u. Americans are hated in other countries, if u have been 2 London, i kno u havent cos u cant afford d trip, but if by magic u do go there, ask a Briton wat they think about americans and hear the insults he wuld rain on u! Lastly, if u kno u are black living in America, i suggest u come back 2 ur motherland and work 4 ur success because by the time we develop Africa, and i see your filthy ass coming here tryin 2 reep what u didnt sow, i wuld personally feed u 2 d sharks! They saw Nigerians are scammers but americans are the ignorant and dumb people that fal 4 them, they saw we sell drugs but americans are the sick individuals that buy and use them. So the main fact is that Africans are born hustlers and u ar our BITCH! Haha! Go 2 school and stop being ignorant maybe then u wont fal 4 our scams. The African leaders are the thieves and not the people so go to their office and burn them and stop talkn bad abt d people. IGNORANT ASS VAGABONDS! (im not hating on anyone just stop saying what u heard and find out the truth 4 urself, alrite my brothers?) one love my black people pls get educated and stop being d white mans toy..Nigeria 4 life, Jozi 4 life, Mandela respect!

AFRICANCUTIEPIE: This African American vs African vs West Indian bull**** is the most stupid thing. Stop hating on the success of others and looking for fault in one another. Clara your hater a** repeatedly posed negative s**t to demean others and make yourself seem better...Guess what your not and most likely wont ever be. For the comment above mine talking reckless about AA'S, your dead a** wrong. Just because some ignorant people on here are ignorant does not mean you should respond with such hateful bigotry.

dcboi: We Africans are home and dealing with our issues while you guys are in another man's land and saying that my home is a hell hole...At least i'm home. where is your own home? It ain't America, i know that for sure..Lincoln actually planned to send y'all back to Africa at one point. I wish he did and you guys would have become our slaves because you could not walk a day in our shoes. ----- Well we came back to Africa on our own choosing and created a country by the name of Liberia. If my memory serves me correct we actually came back and enslaved you guys for a few decades. But thats neither here nor there, your rant is retarted, you do realize those enslaved African Americans are your forefathers that came from the same area you did? If I came today and kidnapped your brother it dosent negate the fact hes still related to you dummy.

shag11: Most of them are muthafuckas who are still all of the resources from poor nations. Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Jamaica, and many other coutries have their resources ripped off by an elite few, while most of the nation lives in dire poverty. Bob Johnson never wanted to pay residuals to the comedians that performed on Comicview and other shows. Oprah one of a handful that shares the largesse, and doesn't play the good-'ol-boy game.

Sonofbabylon: Some of you AFRICAN Americans are just stupid. you talk about America like it's yours, maybe that's why the white man has still not removed the AFRICAN from the title he gave y'all when your weak ass ancestors were shipped out as slaves to work for the white man. My ancestors were built tough and they remained to fight the whites and then gained our independence and you have the guts to say that Africa is a hell hole. We can survive without any of your assistance. I lived in Houston for 10years and quite frankly can say that living as a black man in America is waaaay worse than living in Nigeria. I am making money like hell in Nigeria because of cheap labor and the fact that we don't have white people all over the jobs and lucrative businesses because they are all too scared of fraud so they choose not to come which is why we have so many rich Nigerians (legally or illegally.). The next forbes list will have more names as Aliko dangote (#2 on the list) himself said and knows. His competitors are making just as much but forbes can't seem to get it right and state their actual worth. We Africans are home and dealing with our issues while you guys are in another man's land and saying that my home is a hell hole...At least i'm home. where is your own home? It ain't America, i know that for sure..Lincoln actually planned to send y'all back to Africa at one point. I wish he did and you guys would have become our slaves because you could not walk a day in our shoes.

Mediasavvy: MsApril19, I think you have your geography a bit mixed up. Yes Ethopians and Egyptians are Africans but Israel as well as most Arab Nations are located in the Middle East which is part of the Asian Continent. So no, they are not Africans.

You need to do things yourself your destiny is your responsibility. I'm very proud of Motsepe being that he is South african and i'm south african. He has grown his wealth beyond anyone could ever imagine. And those who say that its a hell hole in Africa its not true yes most of Africa there is wars and starvation but not everyone is living like that i'm living in South africa and i'm loving it i'd like to visit other countries as i believe it would increase my knowledge of the world but i don't want to ever completley live anywhere else but here so no not all of Africa is a hell hole. ----- Yeah, my Nigerian friend always says her family there believes Americans are so rich and that America is so beautiful, until they come to visit. Likewise, I have a South African friend who went back home to live and is enjoying herself on the sandy beaches, etc. America ain't all it's cracked up to be and Africa is not as poor a place as Americans have believed. Yet still, there are deeply inhumane injustices that stick out in our minds. We know that it's important for Africans and African-Americans to stick together, but we each have to take care of home before we can do that successfully.

muffie: So some african people on hear are defending their country and denying poverty and other abuses- well thats exactly why i don't always buy into the poor african children b.s I always felt it is a contiued attempt to play on peoples emotion. I wouldn't doubt that some of these peoples wealth is from all the aid sent to their country that they kept for themselves.
