From Forbes Magazine

It has been a busy year for Forbes' team of fortune hunters. Strong equity markets combined with rising real estate values and commodity prices pushed up fortunes from Mumbai to Madrid. Forbes pinned down a record 946 billionaires. There were 178 newcomers, including 19 Russians, 14 Indians, 13 Chinese and 10 Spaniards, as well as the first billionaires from Cyprus, Oman, Romania and Serbia.

Ingenuity, not industry, is the common characteristic; these folks made money in everything from media and real estate to coffee, dumplings and ethanol. Two-thirds of last year's billionaires are richer. Only 17% are poorer, including 32 who fell below the billion-dollar mark. The billionaires' combined net worth climbed by $900 billion to $3.5 trillion. That equates to $3.6 billion apiece.

The average billionaire is 62 years old, two years younger than in 2005. This year's new billionaires are seven years younger than that. Of list members' fortunes, 60% made theirs from scratch.

Dear all,

I personally admire for all the things Mohammed Al Amoudi has done for himself and even more importantly for his wider socio-economic development contribution for our mother land Ethiopia.

Hope other people with adequate resources will be encouraged further by his astounding success and his love for his country.

I do hope the blind CUD supporters will not deny Al Amoud's love for our mother land Ethiopia.

At the same time, I would like to raise a number of questions to the so called “true Ethiopians” in Diaspora who became politically so active after the 3rd national elections.

How many of you the so called the “citizens" of the “true Ethiopians” did actually lift a finger to help a single individual from the morass our fellow "citizen" find themselves in?

Can any of you “true Ethiopians” could claim to have organised a fund raising event to build a single clinic to help those in need?

When did you last congregate in genuine anticipation of laying the foundation for a single school that would lift a section of a generation from the darkness of illiteracy?

Furthermore, ask yourselves,

When did you “true Ethiopians” last donated a single Birr to plant a seed, to sink a water hole, to water a sapling, to feed a hungry brother and his family? I said "donate".

Not give our time but stretch our giving hand!

Forgive me if I am wrong, what you all are interested in power and the benefit it comes with it.

Referring to the current Ethiopian impasse, what is more current than the inability to feed oneself in the next hour? Or day? Or month? Or eternity?

You can demonstrate day and night as much as you can in Washington DC. I have no problem against your right to do so.

But let me add one more point to the equation.

How about, for arguments sake the reaching out to those who death perpetrated on the poor through sickness? Or poverty?

Do you the blind CUD supporters allow your individual as well as collective mind to be used by one group such as CUD to be hijacked and used as an instrument in order that the group will facilitate its hideous agenda?

For the biggest enemy here is your wilful ignorance to the motives of others.

And to that extent I choose not to contribute one iota of my time or energy or a fraction of a penny to a cause that neither addresses the root cause of the problem nor would I restrain myself from voicing ways I think are the way forward.

In so doing, I offer no apologies but I stand to be corrected if I ever touched a raw nerve of a fake collective soul unknowingly or otherwise.

Regards, Zena

A Joke in the honor of the billionier!
It is remembered that Al amoudi was under the Cudites Attack before and after the election.

The desperate CUdites campained people not to buy anything from government enterprises including that of Al amoudi. As part of the mission, One of the leaders of CUD called to Al Amoudin and warned him that unless he stopped supporting the rulling party, he would tell his supporters not to buy Pepsi and other beverages from companies owned by him. The Sheik laughed loud and respond to him that if you don't buy my pepsi, I'll buy the "gefersa" water of Addis and see what you and your supporters are going to drink for the rest of your life. lol
...That is how the cudites have continued to enjoy his products.

Cheers,

Zena, bla, bla, bla... CUD leaders who left their confirmable western life to contribute to their countries political, social & economic well being are put in prison by your master Meles. Who are you to lecture us about helping our country? Why you weyanes were destroying bridges, burning schools & killing innocent people during Derge? I guess it is to get rid of Derg. CUD doesn't do that but tried to fight in peaceful way & you weyanes are responding by killing & imprisonment. Instead of lecture us on how to help our country, try to change your master to make the country hospitable to all Ethiopians who want to participate in its political, economic & social development. Weyane must stop to say my way or death to you. Let's hear to the peoples voice, the voice which said enough with TPLF rule.

Courtesy to 15 years of Woyane divisive politics, now a days, I for one call myself a "proud Amhara" (not "a true Ethiopian") who wishes to see an Independent Amhara state free of Woyane bondage.

Thus, I don't have any reason to give away my money so that it will be diverted to the benefit of the ruling ethnic group.

What do you call the political prisoners who got educated, lived, worked, invested, and gave all their country asked of them.Do they have to be in sink with EPRDF like Al-Amoudi for them to be called true Ethiopians. The last i checked that's what these brave Ethiopians did, gave it all they have.Dr Berhanu Nega was a lecturer at Addis Abeba university pro bono( with no pay in return)and ofcourse a buisness man as well. You keep on asking the same questions over and over again,Ethiopians who love Ethiopia do all these things and more, and remember CUD reps were elected by millions of Ethiopians who lived in Ethiopia, not by Diasporians like you want us to believe it to be, i guess those Ethiopians are not true Ethiopians to you because they are not in sink with your beloved EPRDF.

where did they get this "self-made" crap? he got a lot of wealth in inheritance in Saudi. Of course with his hundreds of millions under his belt, further wealth creation is like going down the slop. The very transparent government in addis makes it easy to amass millions more. We pray they will not start slave trade again and export people like cattle since they are drunk from the unimagined riches gained lately! Who knows with how many criminals he cooperated to start with acquiring wealth? And wealth can not buy nobility(not in the feudal sense)!

Zena Well said! I have recently returned to Ethio after 16 years. Although the government is no where near practicing full democracy it claims. Human Rights violation is wide spread especially with the opposition group or journalists or union leaders been sent to prison with no charge. It's good to critizes the government but at the same time we should also apploud the positive developments that the government has initiated.

What did Al Amoudi do for Ethiopian people? Most said He is helping build motherland Ethiopia. How is he doing that? Whatever building he builds is a showoff for himself. It is his own materials. Just because there is one hotel or two doesn't mean Ethiopia is being helped. Aid groups are those opening orphan centers and feeding centers.
Al amudi is too busy *** prostitutes who claim to be his friends to get cash from him.
Something inside me says he is also *** many men who are his ajabiwoch following his behind every second. They say he is doing so much for Ethiopia. Well he is *** u hard so he can buy you a house or a car mostly in his name probably. Just coz u live in the house don't mean it's yours. I am sure he is *** many men who are his askers ( servants). Philanthropy is very important to the richest man in the world, Bill Gates. He and his wife, Melinda, have endowed a foundation with more than $28.8 billion (as of January 2005) to support philanthropic initiatives in the areas of global health and learning, with the hope that in the 21st century, advances in these critical areas will be available for all people. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed more than $3.6 billion to organizations working in global health; more than $2 billion to improve learning opportunities.

Selemaster and all woyanes are applauding Alamoudi by selling him every thing Ethiopians own. Yes we are happy Alamoudi is rich and sucssesful in terms of his money and investment. BUT WE ARE NOT happy he is interfering in the Ethiopian Poletical process and decissioning making of the country. He is also suspected for laundering/ hiding the crime minister's and his wife's money. If this is true, It looks like he may have his day incourt with woyanes.

I also advice mr. Alamoudi cosidering social investment to benefit "his country" he could invest in mass transit such as eletric car in addis, rail raod for rural towns. He will make a big diffrence if he also invest in solar cooking, and other tangible investment to change the lives of millions and the environment at the same time. He can do this by investin a fraction of his investment to one hotel or vacation resort- soalr dishes and gas burner to reach millions of house holds. He could do this with out loosing money may be for no or low profit or by getting tax break from the government.

The problem is the woyanes will not let him do it they may tell him do not do this base on his investment to a particular ethnic groups. Or they will tell him it is not profitable( as if every one has to ripoff or suck the people like they do). They will not also let him do that based on who voted for them.

woyanes do not like Ethiopians and Ethiopia. they do not like good to happen in this country...even in their watch while more people are starving and when the environment changing to the worst ( no more forests in ten years, less rain, air pollution, you name it).

This man was ranked 406th in 2004 with a net worth of 1.4 billion. He came to be the 243th richest guy in the world with a net worth of 2.5 billion next. From here he jumped to be a 77th richest with a net worth of 6.9 billion. Hmmmm..very impressive, isn't it..? It smels fishy here. With an increase of 4.4 billion over his 2.5 in the previous year his investment must be in areas where prudent investors from the other part of the world have not been able to set their eyes on. A 176% increase in a net worth just within a year time ...it must be Al Amoudi from Ethiopia who sets the record once a for all. We have got the MAN..the "INVESTOR"..the "SMARTES ONE"..Unfortunately it is TPLFists and the Looters who wants us to think that this man has got the magic hand and unparalled enterprenial skill. However, it is very clear to whomever has the eyes and whomever wants to see that TPLF and CO. are laundering the money that was suppose to feed hungry mouths all over the country. Sooner than latter we will come to know that the bed this guy is sleeping with his TPLF looters will break and all the secret will be out there for us to see. Then Al Amoudi will see how the immoral TPLF uses ppl for its own means at whatever cost to the indeviduals or to the country. Zena and the likes will come out and tell us then, that Al Amoudi is some kind of crap or CUDist. Till then let the Hodams enjoy their plunders.

Why did u censor my post?
It is rediculous? I don't see u
censoring Woyanes. I really wanted the F word to be included in my previous post. My main point is Al-amudi is using sex as a weapon to control his servants who claim he is supporting Ethiopia. That is rediculous those of you who claim he is helping Ethiopia need to come clean and confess how he is helping you. Leave our dear mother Ethiopa alone. She is not involved in your sexual relationship with Al-Amoudi.
The men and women who say he is helping Ethiopia are getting help by Alamudi in exchange for their sexual favors for him. However, we the majority of Ethiopians have never been helped by AL-amoudi.
I know a very respected lady in Ethiopia who is famous. Anyhow when see needed help he was so stingy he only paid one way ticket. Mind you she was in desparate need of help. He did not even give her extra dollar if she needed water on her way to where she was going. But for his ajabiwoch who give him sexual favors he is giving so much. Then when he is sick of them he gets another ajabi. Shame Shame.
Our CUD leaders behind TPLF jails are the ones helping the poor by fighting for human dignity and foreign aid groups. That is a fact. WHy do u have to censor that. It is the truth.

[No F word here. Sorry]

A little personal story for nazretoch through this cyber-megaphone: halo, halo...ehem... lol

Five or so years ago, I was having fun, dancing that very hot lambada/zouk dance in "Gazlight" (Sheraton-Addis, way before the present day boycott... lol) with this really sexy girl, I just met few days ago. She suddenly stopped dancing and started giggling like a baby. I also paused for a second and looked in the direction she was looking: there was this old man seating where, a minute ago, we have been told the table was reserved for some VIP. The man was visibly tipsy, his eyes and jaw wide open. I asked her what was going on and she replied "Al-Amoudi is staring at me - kikiki". I was not so sure that it was him but, somehow, I knew right there and then thatmoney can be the strongest aphrodisiac for some people... those approaching him are not always the most desperate ones for it.

kuku,

Indeed power/money comes with responsibility. I understand your point. You are right but I don't think he is always the only one to blame.

PS: I expect a lot of the usual name calling from the usual suspects but hey, if that helps them relieve the pain of their neurosis, let it be...:)

Al-Amoudi's wealth started accelerating when he started "investing" in Ethiopia. He as an "investor," has been outrageously "lucky" after he set his foot in the poor country. More than 90% of his 8 billion was gained , after he started buying government owned businesses in Ethiopia, with in the last five years. Either his investing in Ethiopia is exceptionally profitable or there is some thing fishy going on.

Here is the proof,

Al Amoudi now has 8.1 Billion last year he was at 6.9 Billion, and only 2.5 just two years ago. Five years ago he was not listed in the Forbes Billionaires' list. Therefore, we can assume that his worth was under a Billion. The first time he was listed in the Forbes Billionaires' list was four years ago with only 1.5 billion. That means he made 6.5 billion with in four years.

Hmm mm.....

what kind of business investment is profitable like this?

Dear Al Amoudi,

Thank you very much for not forgetting your country and for believing in the Ethiopian people.

One thing I want to see is for Al Amoudi to invest in the IT and Technology sector in Ethiopia.

Ethiopians are talented, just lack financial resources.

God willing, we will be able to overcome poverty in the near future.

China was a starving country just 30 or 40 years ago. Look where is China today! Yes, China did not become rich nation over night; they worked hard to reach where they are today.

May God protect and give long life to Al Amoudi.

These people have fingered it out,

They loot the money, and a parasitic businessman saves it for them in a legal manor.

Here is a prediction folks,

In Five years time

There will be at least 100 parasitic Tigriyan Billionaires, listed in Forbes. At the same time, their region Tigray, will be the richest developed region in the Horn of Africa.

As long as these human parasites are in power, Ethiopia is their beloved country, a "cash cow". Fifteen years ago, when they were in jungle, they have been selling there sole to separatist forces and to all the enemies of Ethiopia. Now, they have become more patriotic than anyone in the country.

One day, a wealthy family man took his son on a trip to the country so he could have his son see how poor country people were. They stayed one day and one night at the farm of a very humble farm family.

When they got back home the father asked the son, "What did you think of the trip"?

The son replied, "Very nice Dad."

Dad said, "Did you notice how poor they were?"

"Yes".

"So, what did you learn from this trip?"

"I've learned that we have one dog in the house, and they had four. We have a fountain and imported lamps in our garden, they have a stream with no end and the stars in the sky. Our garden goes to the edge of our property, they have the entire horizon as their back yard." At the end of the son's reply the father was speechless and then his son said, "Thank you Dad, for showing me how poor we really are."

His support to the hated TPLF was a bit of a shocker, but if we all believe in democracy, we ought to respect a man's decision to support whichever party he wants to support. Period.

It is also great to see the Gates and Buffett riches totaling some $100 billion. Their foundation will go long ways to help the poor and eradicate diseases in Africa and throughout the world. These are good men in my book.

Is it a prerequisit to support CUD in order to be true Ethiopian? Doesn't this man reserve all the right to support whatever party he likes? There are two or three points I would like to rise here:
1. As most of the CUD leaders, this man used to leave outside. But when he comes, he starts to change the day to day unimployment problem of the country unlike those of the CUD's.
2. His affiliation to a certian political ideology seems to apeat in the last few years. He could have done something like ..... move all the way from US where he invested his time, knowledge and his money to help ofcourse US, to participate in the 2005 election
3. If this guy doesnot like the exisisting government, who gave him a very hardtime to implemnent what he has planned, he could have bought a hell of guns and armaments and sponser a certain group to creat unrest in the country like that used to be NASA Engineer.

Thank God, he did not choose all these!

Worst of all, you seem to speak highly of Alamoudi's sexual behaviour and that it is not of his nature to sleep with one woman for two days in a row.For you it is a kind of adventure to see a the richest ones sleep with different women ever day. Shame on you! Unfortunately your degenerate mind can not think anything apart from such a dirty and contaminated thought.

You try to act as, what I may call, a Social Butterfly that jumps here and there and pretend to be someone who has all-round knowledge with regard to virtually everything from politics to economics, religion and now the sex schedule and habit of Alamoudi.

Anyone who read your comment a few lines up will obviously, doubt your own sexuality and may categorize you with those Sodomites.

Please try to be a decent woman not " Asadagi yebedelat Galemota".

Jealousy is written all over your ugly face. Yes in fact, I will rub it to your face: according to people who know me very well they call me a walking "encyclopedia".

As far as Al-Amoudi's "sex schedule and habit" is concerned, I heard it over and over through grapewines in Addis. You guys - the offal eaters 55555 tribe - are so obsessed with this benevolent man. In every circle I go in Addis, very seldom a conversation is carried without mentioning his name. So, my ugly Choice this is how I know about his likes and dislikes.

Woyzero Shelle,
Don't forget this guy is a Muslim pretender. He has many wives and mistresses. He continued paying for the "young ladies" luxuries living expenses in order to keep them faithful to him and him only. However Casanova arrives in town and the Shek-Shaki Sheik was beaten on his own game.

In-contrast even on your heydays, you had no sugar daddy to take care of you, with the exception of those regular customers that used to pay you Asirr Birr (10 birr) for Adar (for entire night of labour).

W/ro Konjo,

Please don't let those retarded people redirect your wisdom. Please make some corrections, for I don't think this your stand.
"You blabbermouth, why should I worry about Tigray? I never set foot in that province. I don't care about the other provinces. My main concern is Harargue where I was born and raised. The most productive province but abused by all outsiders like you guys and the Guragues"

I know you care about every "province" (kilil) and all Ethiopians. Please keep wise, and some times ignore those who spew cheap talks. I've a lot of respect for you!

Lekim, it’s neither one my friend. Although I am attracted by those bombshell girls, you could have guessed that yours truly values also intellect. This gentleman does not disrespect the honor of any girl, even the one of a hard working one at gaslight… I let her finish that dance, but so you know that sexy girl was dumped right there and then after the end of the song… That old man was not in a state of handling himself properly let alone taking care of someone else… poor girl. I hope that has helped her as a lesson otherwise she might well end up like this old, overused and confused witch you adore and worship in here day in and day out!

AL AMOUDI has caused more divorces in Ethiopia by simply buying sexy married women from their husbands with gifts and promises

Poor uneducated peasants and villagers in Ethiopia groom their beautiful daughters and save money to send them to Addis Ababa to go to the Sheraton and seek out Al Amoudi to marry him, but they get to meet his cronies who sleep with them and dump them

Al Amoudi and his cronies have single handily kept most of the abortion doctors in Ethiopia in business on account of the number of abortions these young girls are forced to have after being impregnated but them

AL AMOUDI regularly picks up 15-19 year old girls, who are considered safe bets and fly’s them to Sweden or the US then locks them in a luxurious Mansion as part of his ever expanding Harem to satisfy his sexual appetite , when he is done with them they are given a pay off of about US$15,000 and they are on their own then, the apply for asylum

Mohammed Al-Amoudi is nothing more than a pedestrian EPRDF supporter and he should be treated as such. I won’t be surprised if he is using pennames such as Mohamed Ali and Abera demekesa on Ethioblog to tell us how much he loves Meles Zenawi. Ethiopian news has a tendency to circle within predetermined peripheries. Usually, it starts from Al-Amoudi then goes around touching the relationship or lack thereof between the Free Press and the government then the government and the opposition and then the state of the “blossoming” economy and then back to Al-Amoudi. It is a vicious circle that has been cunningly exploited and dictated by TPLF itself to sell and engrave in our memory its reverse engineered political and economic policies namely “revolutionary democracy” and “strong developmental states”. So, if you are not careful, you will find yourself repeating the same comment again and again on recycled news. I pretty much stayed clear of commenting on any story regarding this businessman, because, among many things, he has a monopoly over any form of Ethiopian media coverage about Ethiopian businesses and businessmen.
All news sources repeatedly trumpet how rich he is, but we don’t know who else is rich in our country. We don’t hear who else is competing for the same deals with him though futile. I hardly ever heard or read about them if there are some who’re twisting or even lobbying hard to twist the government’s arm, with sound economic policies and investment initiatives like opposing interest groups with their entourages of policy institutes and policy wonks do in western capitals, against Al-Amoudi’s rumored influence in rewriting or customizing many business laws specifically to his corporations benefit.
We need to throw a curveball from time to time if we to catch the trend setters off balance or pants down. I repeat my challenge to all those involved or concerned to bring to the surface other stories so we know why this guy is getting a free ride.
Let’s know why other multibillion dollar corporations are shut out of Ethiopia. The dude, as much as he is doing good things for the country, has also been profiting big-time and the profit has given him the muscle and incentive to influence Ethiopian politics in a way he and EPRDF could mutually benefit. The opening up of the market to other big name foreign corporations, in all sectors of the economy, should give the opposition and those who support it a chance to find a big-time financier of their cause in their own right. I think Al-Amoudi is entitled to every right that every Ethiopian-born-foreign-passport-holder is legally entitled to. That includes, throwing his support behind and donating his money to any political, social or civic entity he wishes as all Ethiopian-Americans do.
Back home, I was he's neighbor; and whenever I read any story on him, I made it a habit not to comment on it, because I have always seen him just as one individual or neighbor who happens to be a TPLF supporter. The fact that he has a lot of money shouldn’t make me react to him any differently than I would to any pedestrian TPLF supporter. The only thing is it might not be a good business decision for any businessman to directly immerse himself deep in the murky business of politics. That is true even in the developed world. It will be exposing himself/herself and his/her businesses to unnecessary and at times unfair scrutiny. But, if you’re a businessman and you forgo quasi-neutrality in favor of maximizing your profit at any cost then whatever gets thrown at you though impotent is fair game. Just because you have a lot of money, we are not obliged to excuse you from the usual attack every TPLF supporter has to go through. You can’t have it both ways. If you back a certain political organization then expect to be carpet bombed together with that organization. That is the rule of the game, nothing personal here.
Contrary to the demagoguery of woyannes, I don't think anybody is saying he should stay out of Ethiopian politics altogether or he shouldn't support EPRDF or he doesn’t have the right to get involved in Ethiopian politics. If that is the case, I'm among the first ones to tell that person to be fair, because there are a lot of Ethiopian-American businessmen who throw their support behind the opposition and also EPRDF. If I'm not mistaken, what everybody is saying is for backing EPRDF Al-Amoudi should expect repercussions such as accusations, whether they are true or false, or possible loss of lucrative deals and advantageous laws that keep competition out in the event that the opposition wins. I personally think he went a little too far when he started to turn unrelated venues such as a sport's event as a place for campaigning for EPRDF and also when people started to question his motives and whatnot he started to attack them by hiring high profile lawyers.
I think he new he has the right to support anybody he sees fit but he wasn’t prepared to acknowledge others right to question his motive and pretty much hate him. Every body loved Al-Amoudi when he was semi-neutral in the internal political affairs of Ethiopia and he was okay with that. Now, everybody hates him for his involvement and I think he should equally be okay with that, too, instead of trying to harass poor Ethiopians like a petty mafia boss. So, let's respect his rights as stipulated in the constitution or other laws of the land to support anybody he thinks beneficial to himself and he should also reciprocate by respecting others right to, may be not slander his name but, question his overall motive and utter lack of sympathy and empathy in what is happening in Ethiopia. I don't think he can plead ignorance but greed.
Just like the Americans and the British, his priority is not democracy but making money, hence what’s in the best interest of Ethiopians is not always in his best interest. The revolutionary democracy of TPLF needs him to grow its roots deep in the society by controlling every aspect of the society, and he needs it to double his wealth in a shortest possible time. Therefore, it’s a win-win situation for both of them. As you can surmise from the comments above, most of our families work for him, very few have job security if they are against TPLF, who’s really behind Al-Amoudi working in tandem to make money and to attack individuals and businesses hostile to it by using the money muscle and private business cover of Al-Amoudi.
I read some of TPLF supporters’, Kermits for whom "croaking is not an option", obtuse comments that tell us this person has done more than our fathers and our grand fathers who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can even discuss about our country let alone thinking about influencing its course. Hadn't they fought hard and selflessly against the financiers of Al-Amoudi, today, he wouldn't be begging or bribing EPRDF, which ever is the case, to utilize our resources; instead, his Janjaweed militia would be evicting poor Ethiopians and burning their property so he can explore for gold and oil. So, keep that in mind. I don't know who else thinks Ethiopians are indebted to him/her, however, the truth of the matter is no amount of Arab petrodollar, no amount of American wheat and rice or no amount of Ethiopian-dream-victims, leftover Italians/Greeks/etc., life time contribution could match the ultimate investment made by our forefathers though unappreciated and discredited due to temporary set backs caused by few of her children who suffer from self-destructive behavior.

I didn't know that you are emotionally volcanic. You see, that is why I said you pretend to be what you are not. But truth hurts and hard to swallow.
You wrote:

Of course Alamoudi has become a god to you and the likes of you that you worship him instead of the Almighty. Besides, you admire and approve his sexual habit of sleeping with a different women everyday and you call those Ethiopian women "left over". The term Sodomite I used actually was in reference to you whom anyone can categorize with based on what you said. Obviously, it is not of Ethiopian woman to have such a contaminated and "muti" mouth.
I read many of your comments, and I can't feel any womanish tune in them. You say things more like a man than a woman and anyone can conclude that you don't have the tendency for the opposite sex.
By the way that is the suspicion of many who come to this site.
But at the end of the day it is your choice that you may give answer in the judgement day.

Dear challenger,

That is the best analysis i have read so far on this issue! i have been in dilema concerning what to say about this man, so i prefered to stay quiet knowing he has the right to support any political party just like the rest of us, beside he is creating jobs for many families which Ethiopia can not afford to lose although it may cost us our freedom. His monopoly of the market and affiliation with the political party on power has a potential to enslave the citizens for an extended period of time. Woyanes can imprison, kill, and change the rule of the land when ever they wish while the rich man can threat his employees to terminate their jobs and hicking the price of goods any time he wish. Such a marriage between political parties and investors in Africa is always dangerous, so Ethiopia needs other big investors on the land such as petronas or other western knowledge based industries who are seeking cheap labour in the third world (hoping the thirteen universities will produce good enough scientists and engineers in the coming decade) so that they can share and balance the political influence of this man, and reduce the monopoly he has been enjoying for years.

I thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts and would love to see them posted on every other Ethiopian websites, and if possible on those Addis based news papers such as The Capital which has been trumpeting the success of this man.

Respect!

Are you Okay or in some kind of delusional state? How did you so quickely forget that you lebeled women as "left over" and now tell me to treat a woman with respect?

I thought you were the one who spoke highly of the dirtiest form of sexual practice being committed by your Sheik who treats sisters of yours and mine as use and throw object. And you admire and approve that.

Stop being hypocrite by calling yourself a walking encyclopedia, versatile, charming...what else?
Thats what I may call "rasn mamokashet". In fact you deserve none of the self-imposed titles.

A woman who calls other women as "left over" doesn't really deserve any respect nor should be called a woman in the first place. Yet, I didn't reach a stage where I disrespected you or humiliated you.

Being born in Harar or Harare, doesn't really matter. What matters is how you were brought up.

Being born in a garage doesn't automatically make you a mechanic. You could possibly end up being a horse groomer. However, I don't know what makes the people of Harar unique and different from the rest of Ethiopians. That is for sure the regionalist/tribalist attitude which is destroying our country and leading us to further dis-unity.

Finally, I double dare you to just examine yourself if you are a certified and confirmed woman. Or else I certify you in a different way and declare that you are dead for death is better than having hatred to the opposite sex and live in a Sodom-born relationship.

Cheers

For once Al Amoudi is not ETHIOPIA he holds A SAUDI PASSPORT AND CITIZENSHIP!!…………………………………..
Just because some Yemeni man impregnated his Ethiopian mother with him does not make him “Ethiopian” so why is he involved in the politics of Ethiopia? And getting in the underwear of any woman he likes in Ethiopia just because he has billion$$$$$$
Any body would think Ethiopia was his own private Harem and play ground for conducting business without any competition.
When he wants to pillage the land of our forefathers he is “Ethiopian”.
When he wants sex form young Ethiopian girls………… he is “Ethiopian”
But When he wants to do business In the west he is A “SAUDI SHEIK”
Note FORBES says he is a SAUDI CITIZEN not “Ethiopian”

God help Ethiopia the day he dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT WILL WE DO THEN
ALAMOUDI is not a God like some woule make him out to be!

Very generous yes, but nothing for nothing.

For every penny he invests in Ethiopia he takes out $5 if not $10 it is the way business works.....
